Who is NAOS?
WELCOME TO NAOS !
NAOS is the founding company behind three brands:
BIODERMA, INSTITUT ESTHDERM, & ETAT PUR.
At NAOS, we see things differently: for us, beautiful skin is above all healthy skin. We don't do cosmetics; we take care of the skin.
We don’t have any spokesmodels – our spokesmodel is the skin.
Our different approach: ECOBIOLOGY
‘Eco’ as an ecosystem, because we consider the skin as a living ecosystem.
‘Biology’, because we work with the skin’s biology to reinforce its natural mechanisms and thus have a lasting effect on the causes of imbalances.
So since 1977, we’ve been using this approach to create products that help the skin to be healthy on its own and stay that way.
To do this, we identify the components that are essential to its balance and limit the number of ingredients in our formulas. And because we have nothing to hide from you, we share the composition of our products in complete transparency (Ask.NAOS).
We create products differently
Because we only want to offer products that are really useful. We seek to meet the needs identified by dermatologists and by you, rather than surfing on the latest trendy molecule.
That’s how we came to create products that are unlike anything that existed before: the first detergent-free shampoo, the very first micellar cleansing water, sun care products that boost the skin’s natural defences, a brand that separates skincare from active ingredients and, very recently, a serum that helps the skin age half as quickly.
Even our company is different
In 2018, our founder Jean-Noël Thorel donated all his shares to the Jean-Noël Thorel Foundation. So when you buy a NAOS brand product, your money doesn’t turn into dividends. Our profits are reinvested in the company or used to fund health and human development projects.
In everything we do, we cultivate our difference: love, understand and care for the living.
